Workshop Programme for 2027

19th March 2027, 10am – 4pm

Getting stuck in.

A journey to find out more about getting ‘stuck’ with our clients. Space to find out more about our process and our clients’ process.

In this workshop the concept of ‘the edge’ will be introduced and what this has to do with wider society.

23rd April 2027, 10am – 4pm

Getting it wrong?

What is happening when we depart from the counselling model we learnt in our training?

In our training we learnt about counselling models and how to counsel. Then we go out into the real world and sometimes we find ourselves doing something different. Away from our supervisors, this workshop gives us space to unpack the ways we adapt to the people we work with and see what is just right about the way we have adapted. Then we can decide if we want to build that into the way we work or whether we want to return to the way we were trained to work.

21st May 2027, 10am – 4pm

I’m white, what does that mean to my global majority clients?

This workshop provides space for white counsellors to explore what impact the colour of their skin might have on their global majority clients, become more aware of their whiteness and their position in a racialised world.

18th June 2027, 10am – 4pm

Edge work and the integrative counsellor

When we work as integrative counsellors we are informed by different counselling models. We can find ourselves shifting models because our clients have got to ‘an edge’, for example, a place of self doubt. In this workshop we take space to slow down and bring awareness into the ‘decision’ to shift from one model to another, and explore our options at this point.
